Fantastic vocal from DK on a true NZL classic.

Is there anyone out there who saw them at the “Savoy Rooms”, Catford, 1964, I had just turned 16 years old. Found myself standing next the Mick’s brother Chris. Great memories, I have to say that when Brian died they seemed to loose something.

I saw the Stones soon after this record was released, at ken Collier's Jazz Club (cost 2/6) they really looked like the great unwashed. Liked the record, but never really been a fan of theirs.

This is great music Hank is the best.But it pales in comparison with the great melodious hits of The Shadows.

What an unexpected delight to hear Hank play such exquisitely different music from what we were brought up on 60 and more years ago. And that NZTV hostess deserves to be internationally recognized for her professionalism. Great video all round.

What an absolute brilliant band. Those who were fortunate enough to attend the concert being mesmerized by such a performance don’t realize the work that went on into the preparation for the show. As a musician myself, this is what I appreciate so much. Thank you for this.

I met the band around the early 70's , we were the 'Atholl Palace's' band on many weekends and Trevor Morious was staying there in Pitlochry, he came up and played with us and i played golf with him the next day. We were moving down to St. Andrews to play at a hotel there during one of the Open Golf Tournaments and Trevor said that they were going there too, we met them in St. Andrews and we tried to set up a gig in Dundee's Caird hall, they of course were headlining, they were well up for it but somewhere along the line [probably agents] it fell through, a pity, they were great guys and we enjoyed their company, great musicians too, ahead of their time, certainly glad we met them, however, we never met up again, you meet [well at that time at least] many of the bands on the road, truck drivers stops were the favourite places when you were driving through the night, we even ran into Jimmy Saville on one of his nocturnal walks for charity, just goes to show, you never know who you are going to meet on a lonely dark country road.
